Hosted by Westside Family Church’s Network 1.27, this informal gathering is a great opportunity to build community, share experiences, and let your little ones enjoy some outdoor fun at Strang Park.

While the kids play and explore, moms can connect, chat, and support one another in the journey of foster care and adoption. Whether you're looking to make new friendships or simply enjoy a refreshing start to your week, this event is for you.

Lake Day for Foster & Adoptive Families

Network 1.27 invites foster and adoptive families to a special Lake Day Saturday, August 16th, from 5-8p filled with summer fun and meaningful connection. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming, and lakeside activities designed for all ages. A delicious dinner will be provided for every guest.

Some of us can't remember the last time we rested or even had free time. Our busyness can feel productive, but it is a toxic distraction, sapping our spiritual, physical, and emotional vitality. It may seem like we have no choice but to live at a frantic pace, but God has a better path for us.

Join us for this five-part series as we address one of the greatest threats to our spiritual lives: hurry. Instead of allowing our calendars and screens to control our lives, Jesus offers us a new rhythm of life, overflowing with grace, peace, and beauty.

Special Needs Respite Night is a joy-filled evening created just for our special friends, from birth through young adulthood. Hosted by Westside Family Church, this free event features hands-on crafts, fun games, uplifting songs, and a nutritious dinner, carefully tailored to meet the needs of every participant in a loving, inclusive environment.

This invaluable ministry offers parents the gift of time, allowing them to enjoy a date night or create special moments with their other children at home.

Encounter Jesus: The Messiah and His Kingdom

Who is the promised Messiah, the King who will sit on the throne of David? What is His kingdom? What is the character and lifestyle of those who are a part of this kingdom?

In Matthew Part 1, journey through the towns of Galilee and witness Jesus’ miracles—healing the sick, calming the sea, casting out demons. Listen as He teaches about the Kingdom of Heaven and calls His followers to live by a higher standard. This study brings you face-to-face with the long-awaited Jewish Messiah and invites you to evaluate: Does my life reflect the values of His kingdom?

In Matthew Part 2, dive deeper into the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Explore how people responded to Him, why His message provoked such strong reactions, and what ultimately led to the cross. Reflect on the power of the resurrection in your own life and accept the challenge to boldly share the gospel. If Jesus came today, would He be recognized?

Journey with Westside Family Church to Northern Thailand for an unforgettable SE Asia mission trip, where faith meets service in the heart of the mountains. Led by Paul Chang, this experience offers the opportunity to serve alongside our One Life staff at a vibrant children’s camp and engage in meaningful community outreach.

Our team will travel to a remote Westside church plant in Khun Nan National Park, connecting with hill tribe children in jungle villages and offering love, encouragement, and support through hands-on ministry.

Whether you’re passionate about missions, youth ministry, or cross-cultural engagement, this trip provides a powerful way to live out your faith, build relationships, and make a lasting impact.

Fun and Safe Evening for Kids — While You Take a Break

Parents Night Out at Westside Family Church in Lenexa is the perfect chance for you to relax while your kids have a blast in a safe, faith-filled environment. Open to children ages six weeks through 5th grade, this free event includes age-appropriate games, crafts, stories, and snacks.
