Why We Give

A Message from Pastor Jonathan

At Westside, we don’t say, “we’re going to take the offering.” Because God isn’t a taker — He’s a giver. And everything we have already belongs to Him.

We give because God first gave to us. He gave His Son so that we could have life, hope, and freedom. That’s the heart of generosity — not obligation, but transformation. Every act of giving is an act of trust, saying, “God, I believe You can do more with what I release than I could ever do by holding on.” 

When we give, we’re not funding a church — we’re fueling a movement of life change. It’s through our collective generosity that God continues to move His mission forward — here, near, and far.

Each gift is a seed planted in faith, shaping the story of what God will do next. Because we believe He’s still writing new stories through this church — stories of redemption, restoration, and hope for generations to come.

So as we give, we look forward. We trust God with our future, and we join Him in the work He’s doing right now.

Because our God is generous — and so are we.

    • Checks sent by USPO must be postmarked on or before 12/31/25.

    • Online gifts must be submitted by 11:59pm on 12/31/25. 

    • In-person gifts must be dropped in the offering cabinet at WFC Lenexa by 3:00pm on 12/31/25.  

    • NCF recommends Stock & Mutual Fund transfers be initiated with the transferring broker by 12/15/25 description.

Did you know that you can set up a one-time or recurring bill pay through your personal bank that will send your check directly to Westside Family Church on your behalf?

Vehicles & Other
Valuables

Westside partners with iDonate to sell your valuables, returning the proceeds to the church and providing you with documentation to receive a tax deduction for your donation.

Stocks

Westside partners with National Christian Foundation to process your stock donations, returning the proceeds to the church and providing you with documentation to receive a tax deduction for your donation.

Crypto

Westside accepts giving via cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin and Ether. These gifts are processed through the Engiven platform safely and securely and then converted into US dollars.
