“Loving Jesus” is an eight-week immersion in the life of Christ, focusing on the Gospel of John.  We will learn how to see God’s character through the life and character of Jesus. Special Needs Respite Night is a joy-filled evening created just for our special friends, from birth through young adulthood. Hosted by Westside Family Church, this free event features hands-on crafts, fun games, uplifting songs, and a nutritious dinner, carefully tailored to meet the needs of every participant in a loving, inclusive environment.

This invaluable ministry offers parents the gift of time, allowing them to enjoy a date night or create special moments with their other children at home.

Encounter Jesus: The Messiah and His Kingdom

PART 1: Thursdays, Sept. 4th - Oct. 16th • WFC Lenexa Room 218

Who is the promised Messiah, the King who will sit on the throne of David? What is His kingdom? What is the character and lifestyle of those who are a part of this kingdom?

In Matthew Part 1, journey through the towns of Galilee and witness Jesus’ miracles—healing the sick, calming the sea, casting out demons. Listen as He teaches about the Kingdom of Heaven and calls His followers to live by a higher standard. This study brings you face-to-face with the long-awaited Jewish Messiah and invites you to evaluate: Does my life reflect the values of His kingdom?

In Matthew Part 2, dive deeper into the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Explore how people responded to Him, why His message provoked such strong reactions, and what ultimately led to the cross. Reflect on the power of the resurrection in your own life and accept the challenge to boldly share the gospel. If Jesus came today, would He be recognized?

November 5, Salvation & Baptism • November 12, Communion

We love that our kids ask questions; it means they are growing in stature, awareness, and knowledge. Sometimes, they ask questions we know the answers to, and sometimes, we might know the answer but find it hard to answer in a way they will understand. In Westside Kids Ministry, we get asked a lot of questions, and we love to take time to answer their questions thoroughly. Sometimes, we need more time to converse and discuss the questions. This November, we would like to invite kids (1st-5th grade) and their parents to a salvation/baptism/communion class.

This will be a two-week course to discuss salvation, baptism, and why we take communion. You and your child will learn the meaning of salvation, baptism, and communion, why each is important, and do so in a fun, family-friendly environment. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and, hopefully, many answers to the questions of salvation, baptism, and communion.

Join Our Moms' Group: A Supportive Community for Foster and Adoptive Moms

Join our Network 1.27 Moms' Group at Westside Family Church in Lenexa, designed for foster and adoptive moms to connect and support each other. Gather with us on Thursday mornings from September 11 to November 13 to explore the "Loved as You Are" curriculum.

Explore Faith Together: Kids Essentials Classes

We love that our kids ask questions; it means they are growing in stature, awareness, and knowledge. Sometimes, they ask questions we know the answers to, and sometimes, we might know the answer but find it hard to answer in a way they will understand. In Westside Kids Ministry, we get asked a lot of questions, and we love to take time to answer their questions thoroughly. Sometimes, we need more time to converse and discuss the questions.
