Walk for Unity 2025: Building Racial Harmony in Kansas City

Walk for Unity 2025 is more than just a walk—it’s a step toward racial reconciliation and stronger community connections in Kansas City. Each year, hundreds gather to participate in this powerful event that fosters unity, understanding, and healing across racial lines.

The event kicks off with a one-mile walk starting at the football field on the corner of Troost and Truman, ending at the Urban Youth Academy. During the walk, participants are paired with someone they don’t know to spark conversation and form new friendships that cross racial, cultural, and social divides.

After the walk, enjoy a community celebration featuring live music, local vendors, food, games, and plenty of space to continue connecting with others who share a vision for a united city.

We believe that God’s family is diverse and beautiful, and small steps like this make a big impact in reflecting His love for all people. Your presence matters—come be part of something meaningful and help create lasting change in Kansas City.
