Be a part of building better racial harmony in Kansas City. Your presence matters! Hundreds of people in Kansas City meet annually at the Walk for Unity to develop or deepen relationships that bridge the racial gap. The one-mile walk starts at the football field at the corner of Troost and Truman and ends at the Urban Youth Academy. During the walk, people pair up with someone they don’t know and walk together to learn about each other. At the end of the walk, there are games, food, a band, and vendors both for profit and not for profit. Hang out and make new friends or connect and build community with like-minded people committed to unity. We are God’s family, diverse and beautiful. Small commitments like this make a big statement about the heart of God for all His children to work together to reflect His image.
