BELONG WHERE YOU LIVE
Area Communities make a big church feel small — turning neighbors into spiritual family and helping faith move from Sunday into everyday life.
👆Pastor Jonathan explains how Area Communities help Westside bring church to life in everyday rhythms.
Why Area Communities Matter
From Attending to Belonging
Church isn’t just a service. It’s family. Area Communities are where you’re known, cared for, and truly belong.
Proximity Matters
Living near one another makes it natural to celebrate, care, and build lasting rhythms of support.
Faith in Everyday Life
Meals, prayer, hospitality, support — discipleship woven into the real rhythms of life.
Visible in the Neighborhood
Serving schools, caring for the hurting, and showing the love of Jesus right where you live.
See What God Is Doing in Area Communities
Every neighborhood has a story. Here are a few glimpses of how God is at work through Westside’s Area Communities:
“When our baby was born, our Area Community showed up with meals for weeks. We’ve never felt so cared for.”
“Serving at our local school together opened doors with neighbors we never knew before.”
“It’s the first time church has really felt like family for us.”

This Is Where Church Becomes Family.
Church isn’t just where you go on Sundays — it’s who you belong to. Area Communities are the heartbeat of Westside, helping us live as spiritual family and extend the love of Jesus into every neighborhood. You were made for this kind of belonging.
-
An Area Community is a neighborhood-based gathering of Westside attenders who live near each other. They meet regularly to share meals, pray, serve, and grow in Christ together.
-
Communities are organized around school boundaries, but anyone is welcome. We’ll help you find the one that’s closest to you.
-
Area Communities are larger neighborhood gatherings. A2 Groups are smaller circles that often grow out of those communities for deeper discipleship.

That’s the perfect place to start! Area Communities are designed to help you move from just attending church to truly belonging.
